New track is VERY Vs/Vitalogy sounding. Sounds great. Hoping to see them in November.

Great video from last night's show.  The setlist looks GREAT on paper.

I'd like to rediscover Pearl Jam crushed under the wheels of a 40 ton semi.

'Splain.

I wasn't there but know they had some severe weather, or potential for some, so the show was delayed and people were asked to leave the field. They eventually got started (or resumed) and played until about 2 a.m.

They said I could be anything, so I became a disappointment.

I've never known who anyone in this band is, besides Eddie Vedder. I've taken a one-time trip through all their albums and liked each one.

I plan to revisit them from time to time. Vs. is probably my favorite album, at this point. Then Ten, Binaural and maybe Vitalogy.

Mind Your Manners is a cool sounding track, but I think the title is kinda dumb. Maybe if I paid close attention to the lyrics it would make sense.

I don't know if anyone has it 100% correct yet, but here's a close attempt:

I’ve got an unfortunate feeling. I’ve been beaten down
I feel I’m done believing now the truth is coming out
What they've taken is more than a vow
They've taken your innocence and then they throw it on a burning fire yeah

All along they’re sayin
Mind your manners

I caught myself believing that I needed god
and if its out there somewhere we sure could use him now
Try my patience
my patience tried
This world's alone and that it makes me wanna cry

All along they’re sayin
Mind your manners

Self-realizing that I’m physicaly redeemed.
May not live another life.
May not solve our mystery.
Right around the corner could be bigger than ourselves.
We could will it to the sky or we could something else

And all along they’re sayin
Mind Your Manners
Always Praying

Self-realizing that I’m physically redeemed.
May not live another life.
May not solve our mystery.
Right around the corner could be bigger than ourselves.
We could will it to the sky
or we could something else

Go to heaven …. That’s swell hope you like you're living hell
Go to heaven …. That’s swell hope you like you're living hell
Go to heaven …. That’s swell hope you like you're living hell

The fact that you think they're hysterical.

Well, that's rather bleak, isn't it? What happened to the unbridled enthusiasm and optimism from when they thought Obama was going to right all wrongs in this world?

I see it as anti-organized religion more than a political statement.  It has nothing to do with Bush or Obama.

I'm speaking to the overall vibe. The last album was fairly positive, as a whole and Vedder cited his hope for great things from Obama.

I think the band knows that the last album was a bit poppy.  I expected them to come out swinging.

(And from the sounds of it, the other 2 new songs they just debuted at Wrigley were a bit poppy too, apparently)

I've always been kinda meh about PJ.

Saw them way back on the 1st (or 2nd?) Lollapallooza and actually thought they stole the show.

I like that they change their setlists and thumbed their nose at Ticketmaster.

EV seems kind of duochey and his warbling grates on me after awhile.

Overall, a good reliable band. Just not terribly innovative.

Discussing them seems similar to discussing a Toyota Camry. In other words, why bother?

I'm seriously planning on seeing them when they come to town in November. Don't know much about their music (only have 10 ) but they won't be around forever (so said many about Rush) so I may not get a chance to see them again. Plus, it's on a Friday so no worries about going to work the next day.

They said I could be anything, so I became a disappointment.
