Good choice, PSB are a great band. I saw them in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago.

Some cool stuff here. I know this is a flavor of prog but hard to really classify it. Sounds from the Kate Bush/Coco Rosie school vocal-wise combined compositionally with late '60s, early '70s prog influences. But I've only listened to 1 and half songs so far. lol.

Mike Oldfield - Return to Ommadawn

Brilliant music to play in the background while doing work because it doesn't distract, but it's still amazing if I find myself listening to it.

If you haven't checked out this album, you owe it to yourself. Good stuff.

Here's a live performance of a bit of it (the whole album's a 40-minute suite).

If nothing else, I love the mandolin sprinkled throughout the album. Gives it a really airy flavor.

First our declining morals slid, bit by bit, and then our very national spirit.  Then the collapse became greater and greater, and our principles began to go, until at last, it has come to this age, in which we can bear neither our crimes nor the cure for them.

A British jazz three-piece called Mammal Hands. Piano, sax, drums. The piano holds the groove down while the sax does Coltrane type stuff. Saw them live, like them a lot.

Tubular Bells 3 is even better.  Probably my favorite album of his. "Source of Secrets," "Serpent Dream," "Top of the Morning," and these last two, "Secrets/Far Above the Clouds," are absolute killer pieces of music.

"Outcast," from that album, also cooks.

I was at the world premiere performance of Tubular Bells 2 at Edinburgh Castle. Good gig but very short as he only played that album.

I've also seen these guys who are quite fun. Two musicians playing all of Tubular Bells themselves.
