Went out to see Norwegian Viking Metal Demi Gods Enslaved last night.

They were well Norwegian. Well Metal, Well Loud.

Sheffield Corporation has the world's stickiest floor too.

They managed to cover Zep's Immigrant song in a fashion...

I'm sure they were better than Riverside would have been...

I think Carrack is a decent singer.  Therefore, I DON'T agree with your opinion of him. tongue2green.gif

Went out to see a band from San Diego called Astra last Friday.

If you like the idea of Pink Floyd getting together with Hawkwind (Warrior era), Gong, Genesis and Black Sabbath - what do you mean you don't? are you stupid? - then they are for you! Like a trip back to some time between 1969-1972. Excellent.

A brief, dark clip.

Saw Rush in St Louis, Missouri  last October, I believe.

Saw Black Veil Brides and William Control in Louisville, Kentucky in February.

Saw P!nk in Nashville, Tennessee in March.

The Black Veil Brides show was actually pretty cool. Small club full of fans who were clearly there to see THEIR band. They have a pretty positive message, despite their emo-metal look. There were numerous comments throughout the show encouraging people to be themselves and not let anyone take away their dreams. They are my 14 year old sons favorite band, so naturally he had an absolute blast, pumping his fist in the air and loudly singing along with every song.

P!nk, of course, is my lovely wife Staci's favorite musical artist. I like her quite a bit, too, but not near as much as Staci does. It was our first time seeing her, so Staci was quite excited. We own all of her live dvds, so we had a pretty good idea what sort of show to expect. P!nk is very acrobatic in concert...she like to fly over the crowd on ropes and swings and do air dances with scarves...all while singing...no lip synching.  At one point she landed on a post right above our heads and we both looked up and saw P!nk's ass and had immediate threesome fantasies.  She also has an excellent band. Her guitarist likes to throw in plenty of hard rock licks.  One amusing aspect of this show was the few religious protesters who were heckling the show patrons outside the arena. They were even filming all of us going in...I guess to show the world what evil P!nk fan sinners look like, ;)

Since I love my wife so much, we are going to see P!nk again in St. Louis in November, a few days after Staci's birthday. I hope the one protester from Nashville  with the pigtails is there. I told Staci, I just had the urge to bend that woman over right there and show her god. Something about sexually repressed, prim and proper good girls just gets me all "het up".

skep...that is so true. Years of repressed urges tend to have a very forceful release once the gates are opened. Hmmmm...maybe we should start that thread in another section of the board...
