I was there.

Very emotional show. Losing It was fucking incredible.

Neil’s drums sounded like ass though. And his performance said all that needed to be said about his desire to play in Rush.

Still - despite his best efforts - the show was amazing.

I wasn't at the final show that tour, but the last tour was great.  I was at Circuit of the Americas that day already and heard the soundcheck for JL and the other songs.  That was awesome.  I even walked over the amphitheater and from about halfway back (not in the seat area) and way up a wall that lines the place, Alex spotted me with my binoculars.  He was pissed!  He was staring right at me (even though it was way far away).  At the end of the first song, they announced that EVERYONE had to leave the area and could not be in a place where they could see the band playing.  So, from that point on, it was just audio.  Still amazing though...

I wasn't really sad...yea a little sad, but Geddy's voice has been toast for how many tours now?  I was more grateful that they didn't drag it along any longer...even though they're playing like beasts, his vocals were often cringe-worthy.

This was the time when the asshole was starting to put me out of my job. I wanted to go to LA, had wifey's approval, but didn't want to leave the shop alone.

In retrospect I should have just traveled to the show.

It's really sad that Rush is over.  I've always accepted it, but now I'm starting to feel it. I think because it's about the time now  that we'd have news of new activity. There won't be.

The big surprise for me was watching the documentary and his lack of emotion until the very last minute of the show. I would have figured he would’ve treated the day differently like the others did. It’s just a job I guess.

That's Grump for you. No joy in anything except escaping the fans. Finally.

For Neil to restart the machine right now, it would be an insurmountable effort. As hard as it was in his late 40s/early 50s I can only imagine how hard it would be in his 60s. The other two can and probably will do something. I guess we’ll just wait and see. I hope they’re happy, no matter what they do

Neil has no intention of restarting the machine. I think we all know that.

Joking aside, I get it. He physically can't do it any more.  He had a hell of a run though. If only he'd have smiled more, and not thrown Nick off the ferry.

Poor Nick. One of the best stories. He’s got that to tell in pubs the rest of his life though. Rush comes on the radio and he’ll start “You know that bastard drummer from that band..,”

Regret not making it to LA. Oh well.

Ged just turned 65, followed soon by Alex. Neil almost 66. All done

I miss the prospect of new songs even more than the idea of going to see them live.  Sure there were some stinkers over the years, but every album offered at least a few songs that would become new classics that I knew would stay with me for life.  Ah well...

Chances are I was sitting in the living room watching TV, not thinking one bit about Rush. I'd seen them a few days earlier and knew it was over, so I'd moved on.

They said I could be anything, so I became a disappointment.

As if Rush come on the Radio...

Still can't believe it was me that so nearly bumped into him on the Ferry :)

Unlike a lot of you, my show-count is in the single digits but godammit I was there on 08-01-15.

Hey there goes Alex. He's loaded with money. Wow he's really set himself up great.
