Pretty fucking harsh.

Jerry Cantrell - one of the best soloists alive, by god.

Solid tune, we'll have to see if it ages well.  My biggest problem with post-Layne AIC is that the music is well done, but the songs don't really stick around.

That's a good one but I just miss the way Layne/Jerry's voices blended together.

One of the best live bands I've ever seen (Dirt tour) but they seem to have been doing the same thing for 25 years.

I like them - but yeah they are in formula mode.

Dirt and Jar of Flies - hard to top those.

And this is amazing:

Why change what works so well?

Loving the new album by the way.  This set of songs has some staying power, the band seems more relaxed into this new incarnation, and all four members sound inspired!  Jerry in particular is on fire on this one, some damn fine guitar work throughout.  Particularly love Drones (with that tasty acoustic section by Chris DeGarmo!) and Fly (amazing solo that keeps me wanting more every time).  It's also the nicest sounding production I've heard from Nick R to date, wish he had gotten this kind of sound quality and mix on Clockwork Angels!  Definitely my favorite from the trio of "new" AIC albums.
