I referenced Gentle Giant earlier.

That was the sort of thing I was thinking about.

labente deinde paulatim disciplina velut desidentes primo mores sequatur animo, deinde ut magis magisque lapsi sint, tum ire coeperint praecipites, donec ad haec tempora quibus nec vitia nostra nec remedia pati possumus perventum est.

First our declining morals slid, bit by bit, and then our very national spirit.  Then the collapse became greater and greater, and our principles began to go, until at last, it has come to this age, in which we can bear neither our crimes nor the cure for them.

Yes, Chris Squire/Steve Howe do a phenomenal job on so much of their catalog.  They have pulled it off equally well live as well while playing complex parts.

And yes, gasp, the Eagles.  As close to perfection you can get.

^^^ They were great harmonizers. And so were ABBA! :) These two girls were decent singers on their own but they were magic singing together.

I hesitate to call them backup singers, but Kate and Cindy did some super great harmonizing with the B-52s.  Here's one of my favorites from way back when...Kate is 70 now!

David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash.

Don't forget Timothy B Schmidt too.  On the studio version he played "David Crosby" since drugs and it was supposed to be a Stills/Nash album as well to start.

He also was the background vocalist for Poison.  Typically the only voices you hear on Poison records are Brett's and his

Without question.  On record you never know if it's 1,000 Freddie's or not, but live you knew these guys carried their vocal weight.

Yep.  He's a paid sideman for The Eagles.  He and Joe Walsh have always been salaried employees, not full band members, so I guess this is how he paid the bills, especially when the Eagles were inactive in the 80s and early 90s.
