Having posted an electronic track last month, I figured it's been a while since I previewed something more rock-oriented, so I'll put up this one that I just finished for a little bit. This track's a little bit angular and weird, but I guess a lot of what I do is. More fun that way!

Thank you kindly, guys! Yeah, it's a bit of a project doing the DIY thing (especially with my limitations when it comes to playing guitar).

This was definitely a from-the-ground-up change in everything - different bass, different guitar sounds, different drum sounds. I had listened to some older Rush albums like Hemispheres, PeW and MP for the first time in a long time recently and was reminded of how clear and distinct they sounded with more separation between instruments and room for things to breathe, and thought it would be cool to get away from the modern "wall of sound" thing a bit and go more in that direction. My mixes aren't quite as stark and dry (effects-wise) as some of those old recordings, but I think I at least split the difference.
