It’s a podcast that focuses on the rock days of yore. I’m their guest this week on their Time Capsule segment. I talk about how I grew up, getting into Van Hagar and Rush. I also discuss my very brief flirtation with fame. It came out pretty cool, though I need to work on adjectives other than the word “incredible”.

Interesting. My first concert was also Van Halen but in 1980 with DLR.

They said I could be anything, so I became a disappointment.

Wow. That must’ve been mind blowing. The “World Invasion” tour right?

Indeed. Near the end of the show, some guy came on stage with what appeared to be a big movie camera that had a very bright light and Diamond Dave announced the we were helping them record a live album and video and the crowd went wild. Remind me again when VH released their first live album.

That Dave, always the showman.

The opening band was Talas who had a bass player named Billy Sheehan. Perhaps you've heard of him?

Just listened to the whole thing. You did a great job. Held my attention with the interesting stories. Very cool.

That was a lot of fun. I thought I was listening to Huell Howser for a second there. The interviewer sounds just like him. I liked the messy house story. I, too, never made the cover of Tidy Rocker Magazine. :) But it's a good thing Flickerstick won otherwise we wouldn't have all their awesome platinum records to listen to or huge tours to attend.
