Great sadness in the music world today as jazz great, Al Jarreau, died just two weeks after announcing that he'd retire from performing because of exhaustion and failing health.  Mr. Jarreau was a college classmate and friend of my dad's and I had the very good fortune to meet him when he performed in northern California a few years back.  He was a genuinely nice man and incredibly talented singer and performer.  He will be missed...

That's a shame. Such a short retirement too.

Hey there goes Alex. He's loaded with money. Wow he's really set himself up great.

In memory played "Since I Fell for You" w/ Bob James & David Sanborn.

R.I.P., Al.

"Can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing, I ain't pretty, and my legs are thin.

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to."

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."
