I was there a couple months back. I did not see anything scurrying in the sawdust nor any roach droppings in my cheese and onions.
To be fair though, it was the last stop of the day and I could not walk or see straight. Could've been rat piss in my dark for all I knew.

Glad to hear that. My one and only trip to NYC a few years back included a trip to McSorley's. We loved it - felt like NYC, super busy I had the liverwurst iirc. Enjoyed the conversations with locals.
