I know this is all hard for you and it's hard for me too.  I am trying to get the board going so we have a place to go.  Feel free to jump in.  If anyone can see this, and you can't log in, please email rushmessageboard2112@gmail.com with your user name, your real name (I don't want any monkey business and want people to have their real accounts) and we will get your password reset as soon as we can and mail it back to you.

I apologize if I’m just kind of numb because frankly I just am. I thought of what to write on people’s statuses on Facebook and Instagram posts. I thought what I would write. I’ve got nothing. Just pure zombie mode today.

Weapon of mass seduction checking in.

Someone please tell me that this is a bad fucking dream. Jesus Christ, I haven't cried in years.

Joe, you absolutely rock for bringing the board up!!! Thank. You.

One of local radio stations in my area is doing an hour long tribute to Neil right now.  Like others, I'm numb from shock.

Desperately sad news about Neil. Poor Olivia has lost her dad when she’s just 10 years old :(

My computer remembered my password, haven't been on here in ages.  My brother in UK FaceTimed me at 9am here today, which was 1am his time so I knew something was wrong.  I've had all day to think about it and all I can think is this is bloody awful news.  So sorry for his family and all those who knew about this for 3 years and kept it out of the press, that must have been tough as hell.

Same here. He had a profound impact on my poetry. I just can’t believe it.

Stunned, just stunned, had been following all the threads on TRF until Grep posted the board was back up. Good to hear from old m8's again.

"Can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing, I ain't pretty, and my legs are thin.

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to."

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."

If anyone is having trouble with depression hit me up in my DMs on Facebook. You’re all like family and if I would gladly pass the time with a drink and a friend.

My former drummer shared this with me today. A small kernel of Peart ethos that we can actually do something with.

Like many of you, I haven’t posted here in ages. It’s good to see the old gang in here, but good lord, what an awful, unexpected reason for it. I’m simply gutted. When I saw the news, I was at work, and I had to go into a conference room, shut the door and cry for a while. I feel so awful for his family, and especially Olivia. It’s so fucking unfair that his brief retirement was eaten up by this goddamn disease. I don’t know what else to say. This is such a loss for everyone.

Good to see some familiar names. This, as many others have said, was a gut punch to me, especially as I lost my mother to the same type of brain cancer in 2018. He was way too young. Fuck cancer.

Well, I haven't been here for about 4 years now....

Just wanted to chime in and say Farewell to the King

Rush has been weaved into my life for the past 40 years, and Neil's passing

was like losing a family member that I never met but felt strongly attached to.

Nice to see CP is still around....

Take care everyone, hang in there.

Make sure you let your friends and family know that you love them because we never know when our time will stand still.

So glad I saw them for their last Chicago and Toronto shows ever.

Rest in peace Neil. I enjoyed every one of the 48 Rush concerts I attended from 1981-2015.

God bless you and your family. You'll be sorely missed.

Tom
