People almost certainly will, though I do see a lot of people out walking, as well, and many things in the game (including the way it handles eggs hatching) encourage walking, rather than riding in a car.

People are using their cars. Driving around with Pokemon Go as a GPS and then stopping to catch Pokemon. I don't advise it. If you do have someone else hold the phone.

Not only do I, but I leave the engine idling while my kid chases them down.

Took my kids (12, 15) to the mall today to do some Pokemon hunting.  I have to admit, I didn't see the thrill of it, but I got some bourbon chicken and a coffee at Barnes & Noble, so I was happy.  Saw probably 6-7 other people, teens early 20s, with their app up too.  And it wasn't a very crowded day at the mall.

I honestly don't see why so many are bothered by this.  It's a harmless game that encourages people to get out and do something.  WTF is wrong with that?

Plus I'm (almost) Level 10 in Ingress, so I'm a little biased.  lol

It's actually based on Ingress (also by Niantic, as well).  The Pokemon gyms and Pokestops are located at the same points as Portals in Ingress.

Yea, I knew that...Ingress did all the heavy lifting for this.  Haven't seen the Pokemon game, but Ingress is what a game would be like in the year 2525.  It's pretty amazing...somehow I don't get that same impression from Pokemon Go, but still, it's freaking harmless...people are just having fun.  Why others get their panties all wadded up, I'll never understand...

“I've come up with a set of rules that describe our reactions to technologies:
1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things.”

Some day I need to learn German.  Or is this written in Korean?
