The Atlanta Symphony parks in the same parking garage because the art center is right across the street from my building in Midtown. Apparently he's playing with them this evening and was riding up on the elevator with me (had a guitar case in each hand). I had no clue who he was but he looked very friendly and kept smiling at me and looking like he knew me or I should know him. I feel compelled to say something nice so when we got off of the elevator I said "at least you're only going across the street, I know how heavy those are and I'm always having to switch hands when I am carrying mine." So he stopped and put them both down and said "oh you're a guitar player? "I said "I wouldn't call myself a guitar player… Although I do play the guitar LOL". He laughed and said "well hey I am playing with the Atlanta Symphony tonight. You may have heard my band, they're not with me it's just me tonight but I'm in a band called Phish, I don't know if you've heard of it or not." I said "I have heard of them." And he said I'm Trey Anastasio nice to meet you. I said "nice to meet you and I hope you have a great show tonight." And he said "thanks" I don't know if it's sold out or not but you should come check it out.
