Best and Worst Transitions to a New Singer

One of the things I liked about (early) Chicago. Peter Cetera, Terry Kath, Bob Lamm. Even Lee Loughnane (trumpet) sang a couple of great tunes.
They're also an example of rocky transitions though. Cetera was replaced with Jason Scheff, who is not really a very good singer.
At first, Scheff sounded pretty damn close to Cetera on a lot of material, but over the years, his vox have dropped off in quality quite a bit. He could barely hit high notes the past couple tours. (At least in the vids I've seen) Heard he had a cold a time or two, but... eh, dunno. Guess it sucks getting older. :^P
And speaking of "LIVE" -- Heard their latest w/ the new singer. Thought it sucked. Not just the vox, but the new songs themselves. Just didn't sound like the same band. It was as if they were trying to sound way heavier than they ever have. I dunno... maybe it's just me, but it wasn't "LIVE" to me.

Is Axl/DC f'realz? I thought it was an Onion story when I saw it but didn't look more into it. Is that legit?

I think Axl should be Van Halen's singer. I'm sure no drama would develop there.
Hey there goes Alex. He's loaded with money. Wow he's really set himself up great.

If I was forced to pick, my choice would be.....
Balls To The Fly On The Wall third line.

I like bands where more than one of the members regularly performs lead vocal duties. The Beatles for example, and 10CC. Oasis as well, and Pink Floyd. Keeps it interesting and varied.
This is one of the reasons I like Kings X so much. Ty and Doug have very different voices.

I much prefer the first two albums with D'Annio.
I enjoy both singers and Paul was a good lead singer. However, Bruce is a great one. Maiden rose to the next level with Bruce.

Reading now that Yes is re-releasing a remixed Fly From Here with all Trevor Horn vocals.
What a kick in the Benoit-balls.

You can believe what you want but that doesn't make it so. For the average Rush fan, which probably isn't anyone on this message board or any other Rush boards, Geddy's voice is what makes Rush for good or bad.
Can you link to the survey I assume you referred to here, two years ago? Is it still online?
