Aynsley Dunbar lost the Jimi Hendrix Experience gig to Mitch Mitchell in a coin-toss.

http://forums.steveh...in-toss.112969/

“ In 1974, Mitchell auditioned for Paul McCartney's band Wings but lost the part to Geoff Britton in another coin toss.“

Jesus being a sideman can be a fucking drag!

Street Survivors, released only a few days before the crash...the album cover depicted the band (particularly Steve Gaines) engulfed in flames.

The "cash me outside" girl has been signed to a major label.

[Danielle] Bregoli released her first single "These Heaux" (pronounced "these hoes") on August 26, 2017. The recording reached number 77 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Bregoli the youngest female rap artist to debut on the music chart.[16][17][18] The success of "These Heaux" prompted Atlantic Records to sign Bregoli to a multi-album recording contract.[19] In September 2017, she remixed the Kodak Black song "Roll In Peace" and Tee Grizzley and Lil Yachty song "From the D to the A".[20] On September 22, 2017, she released "Hi Bich" and a day after, "Whachu Know", as a single alongside the music video, which received over a million views in 24 hours.

Another fact about Peter Gabriel 3 (“Melt”) is that the drumming features no cymbals.

Coincidentally I was watching the Sign o' the Times concert a few weeks back and thinking how I would enjoy Prince's music so much more if he just used organic drum and percussion sounds. Count me as one who does not enjoy 80's drum sounds

Here's one to top all of these...

When I first started playing drums in the mid-70s, I took lessons from Joe Raynor, who also taught Frank Beard how to play drums.

Talking with a co-worker about music, turns out we had a fair bit in common and when the conversation turned to prog-rock he said he was a big King Crimson fan. I told him what I heard of them I liked but really didn't know much of their material. He comes in the next day with a stack of cds of what was basically their entire main discography - all 40th Anniversary editions with the bonus dvds. To reciprocate I gave him a jump drive filled with Zappa.

It included

- over 100 albums (many titles having 2-3 different versions)

- 50 bootleg titles

- 50 unreleased shows

- 3-4 hours video

- all in lossless FLAC and mp3

- complete artwork scans

all contained on this

Being over 50, that made me pause and say "wow"

Love him or hate him, Billy Corgan gives good interview. Only 17 minutes in and there's already lots of great stuff here.
