Anybody out there interested in this? To all you Seppoes out there, think of it as American Football played by real men. You guys have a team there, they're playing Samoa Tomorroa. Having once seen on TV a game between USA and Canada which was the dullest game of Rugby I've ever seen - and it can be bloody dull - and bearing in mind Ireland beat Canadia 50-7 today, my money's on Samoa.

England were unconvincing in beating Fiji yesterday, Georgia pulled off a bit of a shock today by beating Tonga. Now having said that Rugby can be dull today I saw one of the most thrilling games of Rugby - indeed any sport - I've ever seen: Sarf Effrika vs Japan. My newspaper said SA would win by 40 points without getting out of second gear. Well done Nostradamus: SA 32-34 Japan. Bloody marvellous. Seek out highlights of this game. Any chance to see those humourless Saffie pricks getting turned over is worth seeking out :)

I only saw the second half of the Boks v Japan and it was amazing. Despite it probably being a bad result for Scotland, I was cheering the Japanese. Nice to see the arrogant Boks get stuffed. Hopefully, the Japanese will be knackered for our game against them on Wednesday. I reckon they've peaked already ;)

I was shouting for the Japs.  It was interesting that they appeared to have some European players.  I thought they would run out of puff at about the 65-minute mark and the Saffers would run all over them, but the Cherry Blossoms kept going and won in the most dramatic fashion possible!  They could have kicked at the death to get a draw, but they kept going for the win.  Francois Pienaar was gracious about it.

Har har, the Seppoes have been beaten by the Samoans!

The Samoans were pushed closer than I thought they would be than Yew-Ess-Ay.

I think Rugger should be promoted more than Soccerball in the States. Although it is the fastest growing team sport out there, even George Dubyah played it in college.

I was hoping the Argies could pull off a famous victory today, but alas it was not to be.

After Japan beat the Boks I'll admit to bring concerned about today's match but can't complain about a 45-10 win with 5 tries and a bonus point.

Rugby is a popular sport in Japan. If you're skilful and quick, small guys can often do well against larger players. They beat South Africa (who are one of the top teams in the world and have some very big players) on Saturday but couldn't sustain it against Scotland. I suspect South Africa were complacent in that match but we aren't good enough to be complacent. We won fairly comfortably today.

Next up - USA on Sunday. :)

Go have a shower. Terrible first half from us but vastly better in the second half. 39-16 to our boys in blue.

So, that's Rugby Union kicked into touch, got to try and find a new sport to show an interest in.
