Wow, last nights show was amazing. Aside from the absolutely stellar performance of Losing It with Jonathan Dinklage (which blew my fucking mind, I had tears of joy mingled with ones of sadness rolling down my cheeks!), everything was simply perfect. It was such a rarities driven setlist too, How It Is sounded great, as did Jacobs Ladder. The band was spot on, the sound was clear and well mixed, and Geddy's vocals strong and clear all night. He sounded very natural, singing from his comfort zone rather than pushing himself with too much yodeling and falsetto. The Camera Eye sounded 100X better on this tour than it did on Time Machine. Most impressive maybe was that the song tempos were right up where they should be, fast and tight. This is the least slowed down I've seen them play since the 90's. What a great fucking show!
I was far more emotional during the show than I expected I would be. They were so good, there were so many songs I never expected I'd ever see them do live, and the underlying notion that this may be one of my last two Rush concerts ever (going again on Monday), made it quite bittersweet.
