Dead Heads that haven't had a whole lot to do since Jerry died, should have this cash saved up by now.

Less than $10/cd really isn't that bad I suppose.

I have zero... negative one percent interest though.

I think their career may have been over at least a decade ago.

They said I could be anything, so I became a disappointment.

I wonder who had the unfortunate duty of mastering it, unless they just shoved a bunch of already existing shit in a box.

I have never understood the appeal of this band.  Unless it's just cool to smoke pot all day, follow a bunch of gross hippies around in your van, smoke some more pot and watch a bunch of wankers plod around on-stage for a few hours.

Does it at least come with a big bag of high-quality weed in order to make the songs more listenable?

(Ahem...I know Rush has songs in 4/4, but I did not make this meme. I just think it's funny. So please stop pointing this out to me! Thanks.)

Maybe if you live in CO or WA. I think some stronger psychoactive "meds" might be needed tho. The one's where you actually think you're listening to a band who knows how to play songs with beginnings and endings.

I think I've said this before.. coming from a metal background, I'd never 'got' The Dead. For the same reasons. Boring, meandering songs, too trippy, etc.

Then I found Phish. Just a few years ago. They were my gateway drug into The Dead.  I won't say that I'm a fan today, but i think i finally get it.   And I've heard some shows where Jerry and co have absolutely fucking smoked.   I mean as musicians. On fire. That kind of music, tight yet loose, and totally jamming.

They were really fucking good, and like early Rush i wish I was old enough to have enjoyed them in the 70's.

Oh, and the song Terrapin Station.

Your Rush fan status just dropped about 35%. If Rush is the "thinking man's band" the Grateful they are Dead are about the opposite of that.
