I'm sure I'm more on the fanboi side of the aisle but I don't really care. For me, it's not about the live note for note translation of the song from vinyl or CD but the whole experience and memories that come flooding back. I'll see them three more times (twice in Toronto and Vegas) and enjoy every show just as I have since I saw them in the late 70's as a young kid. I don't expect them to be the spry 20 year olds doing what they once did.
I think we all admit their former prowess has faded over time but it doesn't take any of the enjoyment of the whole show away when the house lights go out and Geddy, Alex, and Neil come out and start that opening song. There is nothing shameful in performing past one's prime; if that were the case music careers would be extremely short-lived. I think the point should be to enjoy it for what it is rather than nitpick it for what we wish it were.
It is true, that a little philosophy inclineth man's mind to atheism; but depth in philosophy bringeth men's minds about to religion.

I couldn't agree more, not only are they playing a set list that the majority of old school fans have waited years to hear, but most other bands of a similar generation still touring, are doing so with the support of additional musicians, backing vocals and without the complexity of arrangements they attempt to pull off as a three piece... with exception of the odd triggered sample or two.
We all know it's not what is was, just enjoy it for what it is.
It's all we've got...

In Columbus I thought the sound was fine. Pretty loud, but clear.. I could hear everything well. The low end for the bass pedal and synth stuff was brutal. I was sitting straight on the house right line array. I have no complaints.

Columbus show was great. Best setlist since PeW tour.
Biggest cheer was for TSoR.
Dude a few rows in front of me went ape-shit crazy when Roll the Bones started. He was PUMPED!!
Headlong Flight is so fucking awesome live.
My highlights: Xanadu, What You're Doing, Anthem, Prelude (Hemi), Headlong Flight. Every song was at least incredibly good.
