Innocent of course.   ;)

And woe to the enemies, er teams, who will have to play them this year.  You think Belichick and Brady ran up scores before.... :D

So you admit they ran up the score?  We all knew that anyway, but it's nice to see someone who is apparently a fan admit it. Now if those fans could just admit they root for a cheating team, they (the fans) could work on other, way more important things.

I read that some fans started a crowd funding site to help pay the fine. If that's true, they're stupider than I thought.

Had Brady been forthcoming and cooperated with the investigation, he'd almost surely have gotten less of a suspension but, as with 99% of society, he pleaded "not guilty" (another lie).

The deflategate offense itself wasn't the main issue.  It was his lack of cooperation with the NFL that just paints him with the diva brush.  In NY we hate A-Rod and you too can hate Brady and still be a Pat's fan.

The downside of a 24-hour sports media is that we are expected to care about shit like this.  I'll pay attention to the NFL from August to February.  Right now, don't give a flying fuck.

Yup, just like they did in the second half of the AFC Title Game against the Colts (and it wasn`t a coindence... ;) )

Do people really still hate Alex? He's doing his job cleanly. I'd have thought people would be laying off by now.

There's never a bad time to trash talk about New England and Dallas.

I read an article in the paper saying that the Superbowl is the fourth-most-watched sporting event in the world.  I didn't know it was that big, given that only one nation participates.  The top three are FIFA World Cup, (Summer) Olympic Games and the Cricket World Cup, which are all international events.

I would have guessed 2 of the three.  I knew cricket had worldwide popularity, but I didn't realize it was also a TV event.

Is there a phenomenon of "World Cup commercials" the way there is for the Super Bowl?  Weird to say, but I think the ads have something to do with the SB's ability to attract non-football fans for that one game.  Otherwise, it's just a huge excuse to drink a lot of beer and throw a big party, which I'm sure is true of the world cup of soccer and cricket.

This was from that legendary Brewers/Patriots game. The Pats cheated, of course.

hey! haven't seen the video yet- not been on here in a bit. i will in a little while. but this whole thing is stupid.

first, running up a score? WTF cares? this isn't Common Core pre-K.

maybe they cheat maybe they don't but they aren't the first, only, or last.

that's the truth and we all know it.

I don't know, but it's been said: You do or don't and then you're dead
So climb away, get higher, son- never straight, just move ahead
Know, my child, that there is no devil seekin' to cause guilt in the hearts to men.
No evil, save blind faith, ignorance, and the desire for the unprepared to blame others for the devastation left in the wake of change.
Fear not the movement of the heavens above or the earth below for change is what we are, my child.
And if we are reflections of the divine we must roll with these changes, for we are these changes.

No, they DO cheat and have been caught twice doing so. There's no "maybe they don't". As for anyone else doing it, that's a possibility but so far none of the other teams have been as stupid about it as New England has seeings as they are the only ones to be caught. So not only do they cheat, they do it badly.
