Please check out this interview with John Good from DW drums as he talks about how Neil's R40 kit will be replaced in the 2nd half of the show by a replica of Chromey and they will finish the set as a bar band like they started. He is very sure this will be Neil's last tour:

The kit comments are made 13:35 onwards.

Going to edit the topic title so it doesn't appear in the "View new posts" view.  The title kind of gives it away.

This is probably the best spoiler we've got at this point.  These are people Neil calls friends and likely his closest professional association outside of the band.  It's going to be a "show chromey" in that it will be painted DW Drums, but I think a nice tribute.  I do hope they do it justice and play songs from that era on it.

Holy. Shit.

That is awesomely exciting, and kind of sad at the same time.

Yeah, I can imagine the stage show.... they start right out with the lasers and high tech stuff, and then slowly devolve the effects and what not into a dimly lit stripped down show.

Show closer : Working Man with the drum solo..... just like the old days.  You heard it here first. :)

Opener: Anarchist.... and then they work backwards through their catalog.

That's my prediction.

I guess the guy revealed too much.   But Eugene Debs summed up the spoiler accurately. The rest of the clip was about where the wood from the R40 kit came from.

I managed to watch some of it it before they took it down. This is huge. I wonder if it will be set up like it used to be, double kick drums and all. If so, he'll really have to adjust his playing style. Or maybe it'll be set up the same, just with a different finish.

That's what I think. Same setup, different finish. Though he may have more legacy stuff behind the kit like the gong, etc.

"This is the original Slingerland Chrome drum kit played by Neil Peart 1974-1977. Neil played on this kit for Rush Albums: Fly By Night / Caress Of Steel / 2112 / All The World's A Stage"

I wonder how much the "2nd half of the show" is the encore as opposed to meaning after the interval. If it really is the 2nd set then might we get a variation of ATWAS. Bastille Day, Anthem, Something for Nothing, In the End, By-Tor, 2112, Fly by Night, What You're Doing, Finding My Way, In the Mood.

I couldn't get to sleep last night after seeing this interview.

I might still not get to see this show though if they don't tour Europe. My wife says no my visiting the US this time.

Will they come here do you think?

The Facebook link has disappeared and so has the Rushisaband post which pointed me in the right direction. No mention of it in the weekly Rushisaband update either. I feel like Julian Assange. Rushileaks!

Except that I am not wanted by the Swedish authorities for a serious crime. Nor have I been living in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for 2 & half years.

Maybe I just dreamt the Slingerland kit thing!

It's gonna seem like something out of a dream to see that kit on stage.
