The Many-Coloured Land - Julian May.

What a load of old cobblers. My copy has a Black and White Cover and if the Many Colours suggests a rainbow, why are all the LGBT characters maladjusted freaks?

The author's not even a bloke either.

Let the Right One In by some Swedish bloke named John Ajvide Lindqvist.  It was made into a film, and then there was a Hollywood remake, but I didn't see either of those.

Quite a spooky story and very sad.  Even though almost all the characters are drug addicts, paedophiles, vampires and thugs, I ended up feeling sorry for them all.

EL James is here at the convention I'm attending. Caused a stir. I haven't seen her; as with many authors, I can't pick them out of a lineup unless I know them personally.

I've seen the orignial film (Swedish? Finnish?). Quite good. I've heard the remake is also good, but haven't gotten around to it. Often, when I like a foreign film, it ruins domestic ones for me. Maybe it's because foreign films feel more realistic to me because I don't recognize the actors and they are made with less glitter?

Bram Stoker's Dracula. Some scary-ass shit, mang. Far scarier than any Dracula movie I've seen.

Maybe you'd like the Outlander books? dunno.gif There are 7 of them altogether (right now); book 8 is on the way (hopefully) by the end of the year (as well as several "spin-off" stories/novellas). So at least you'll have something to read for a while.

It was the free nook book last week and I'm really enjoying it. Apparently it's a series.
