You can definitely tell you were in a Rush cover band - no chics (other than PeW Girl).  ;)

:loll;

The Austin-based Rush cover band is represented here (it's the picture of us as individual members...no group photo)...no pics of the Seattle-based one exist. The rest were original bands.

It's not gay so long as you're holding guitars

Goofing off a little bit at a sound check. Ajax does not look impressed.

I've squeezed more musicians than that on a smaller stage, but I would never post it on the intrawebs.   :P

Actually, I remember one bar cleared a spot on the far side of the room. No stage.

The space was definitely cramped and all the neon beer signs really wreaked havoc with my signal, but we loved playing at that place. Playing on 6th street in Austin was always a pain in the ass...parking could be a bitch...but this place was off the beaten path and was always full of people.

Neat stuff, JARG!

Alla the pics of the first band I was in are lost, being from the mid '70s...  I have pictures from the TIME of course, but none of the band.  A lot of them look like yours though...set up in a house or a basement, etc. We won second place at the Fall Fair in '75...Warm Koolaid was a top 40 band....Grand Funk Railroad, Seals & Croft, three Jams -originals, Led Zeppelin, Shocking Blue...etc  Didn't attempt RUSH, The other members didn't like them because they didn't have a big hit yet....

Technically they still don't.  New World Man #21 as a single.  I'd hardly call that "big".   ;)

Yeah, but strangely enough, 8 months later, "2112" was out and they all LOVED "A Passage To Bangkok"! :wub:  Unfortunately, Warm Koolaid was KAPUT by then!  It was suggested when we first got our 'name' that out first Cover should be a naked woman with a pitcher of Kool Aid between her spread legs.... B)
