Let's start with a cover of Iron Maiden's Fear Of The Dark, played on harps by a couple of blonde hotties. What's not to like ?

You should hear Richie's cover of Blueberry Hill. It's to die for.

Ran across this while looking up Queen. Cool version with full chorus.

I think The Donnas are just one of the best "cover bands" out there now, though they have a ton of originals.  They just seem to pick the right songs, and always amazed that they pick two-guitar songs and manage them pretty well with only one guitar player.  I included the live versions so you don't see any studio magic in that regard, but look up the studio versions too.

Here's "Round and Round"

And "Strutter" ff to 1 minute

A friend of mine years ago came up with his version of Folsom  Prison Blues.  Here's him (playing guitar and singing) from about 4 years ago with his old band doing a local gig.

Brandeis students from a bit over a  decade ago cover Rush.  A cappella.

And Peter Frampton covers Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden (yep).

labente deinde paulatim disciplina velut desidentes primo mores sequatur animo, deinde ut magis magisque lapsi sint, tum ire coeperint praecipites, donec ad haec tempora quibus nec vitia nostra nec remedia pati possumus perventum est.

First our declining morals slid, bit by bit, and then our very national spirit.  Then the collapse became greater and greater, and our principles began to go, until at last, it has come to this age, in which we can bear neither our crimes nor the cure for them.

Still one of my favorite covers of any song by any band.  Great energy.

I love this version of an old Genesis song.

Hell ya, me three.  I remember when I first heard it thinking "THAT's how they [Genesis] really wanted to perform it (but couldn't because of the lame '80s)"...
