I loved the shows that I went to, but the CD is nearly unlistenable to me because of Geddy's vocals.  Does anyone know of an excellent boot of any show on this tour, preferable where Geddy isn't knockin' on heaven's door?

Is this because you think all of his vocals were as bad as they were on the CD?

Everything about the album is tough to listen to—what a great show live, but the CA tour recording is very bad.

Ged was purdy rough on the nights I saw of the TM and CA tours - Seattle, WA. Not terribad. But kinda bad.

Haven't poured over Rush boots in the longest time. Maybe there are shows out there where Ged was in great voice. Who knows???

His voice was definitely better earlier in the tour.

I can't say though that there is any one boot that stands out..... everything i'd heard was b- or worse. And I was pinging Dime daily for a while looking for that one perfect show.

I've even tried matrixing multiple sources from CA shows.... Meh.   Gave up. (Sometimes when you get one that's too close and bottom heavy, combined with 1 or 2 others that are a little distant and thus have no bottom, but decent mids, you strike gold.... not this tour.). I've just kept around the Brooklyn and Newark shows, only because they were the ones I went to...and were the primary A and B setlists.

So the CD, with all it's problems is the best record of that tour - from what I've been able to find.

Are you talking about the Time Machine Tour or the Clockword Angels Tour?

I goofed and went on about ca. .

Tm was a little better. Some of the early tour boots would have been b+ or so. Don't remember specifics....

Unless I can find a sb, or an a/a+ aud, I tend to delete shows once the novelty wears off... Unless there's something historic abt the show.. Or if I was there.

This one's OK, a bit bottom-heavy and Geddy's vocals are pretty typical of how he was singing but they're not too painful. I could send you a sample. Name a track :)

Why no Presto?  The two that I am most interested in are Presto and Camera Eye.  His voice just ruined those songs for me...especially the latter.

You OK with FLAC files ?

I just need to find a way to convert them to AppleLossless...or even MP3s, on a Mac for free without infesting my computer with spyware.  Any suggestions?

And thank you very, very much.  This has been eating at me for a long time!
