You would love this museum ORF.

There is one very large model of one of the airfields in Britain.  Really cool to see the planes to scale with the hangars, runways, etc.

That was indeed a Hailfax, ORF. Less well-known than the Lancaster, or the first of the RAF's four-engined bombers, the Stirling:

Yes, I've visited Wright/Patterson AFB Museum Twice, and would love to see this one, as well as the Air & Space section of The Smithsonian...

Yes, The Short Stirling is one of the planes I'm looking for. The Vickers/Armstrong Wellington is only a two engine plane, but still famous in RAF history, and I want one of them....

There's another British WW2 twin-engined bomber you may know about, the Manchester. The Lanc was developed from it (the extra two engines being added because it was underpowered).

Yes, The Manchester is another I hope to find ...may only be able to find it in 1/72 scale though... :(

Neat pictures. Is this museum in the US or is it in England?

About three years ago I posted photos I'd taken at a WW2 airbase in Sussex; that would have been before the last crash so I'll put them up again over the weekend. They'd restored parts of it to the same condition it would have been in during the war and there was a museum there with old engines, radios and other wartime paraphernalia.

Looking forard to this, Slim!  A History Channel Documentary on Netflix called "WW 2 in HD" and another from the BBC also on Netflix,"The Battle of Britain- The Real Story" Have fascinated me the last few days... but I was amused that the B-24 wasn't pictured til the last episode of the WW 2 one....weird in my opinion....
